Encouragement in Uncertain Times

Living in times of uncertainty can be very scary. Trust me, I know because I am currently in a season of uncertainty in several areas of my life. There are things that I want and need; however, they are beyond my control at this point. Literally, I do not know how or if these things will come to past. I mean I could try to force some things but I don’t live my life that way anymore. I trust God in everything I do, even when I don’t understand. I do understand that what is for me will be however.

But what happens when your logical side conflicts with your spiritual side? You believe God will provide in every area; however, you don’t see how or better yet, you’re running out of time. What now? Do I take matters into my own hands somehow or sit back and truly believe and trust that God already knew that I’d be in this situation before it happened? I think back on the church folk who always say that God is an on time God. God may not come when you want, but He’s always on time. One of my favorite scriptures says “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” Matthew 6:25.

God knew that the coronavirus was coming to the Earth. Last year when we were preparing for 2020, God knew that we would be in the position we’re in now. We’re the only ones who are surprised by what is going on. So if God already knew this was going to happen, why are we worrying? Has God ever brought you out of a tough situation? One where you had no idea how you’d make it but you did? Where something came through at the last minute? Why can’t He do the same this time around? He’s kept you thus far.

God is with you every step of the way. Do what you can, do what’s right and give your cares to the Lord. If He’s brought you out before, He will again. Also, whatever it is you need or desire, tell God and let Him handle it. He already knows but He wants to hear from you. Instead of stressing over it, let God deal with it on your behalf. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

I want you all to stay encouraged out there. This is new for all of us and everyone has been affected in some way. I pray we all have major testimonies after this is said and done. As I stated, I am also believing God for some things right now. There are a couple of things that may make or break me so I’m really counting on a miracle. I know everything will be OK though. The funny thing is, I was in this same position 2 years ago around the same time. At the last minute, God came through in an unexpected and unimaginable way. I am forever thankful for that and know that God can and will do the same. So now, I will do what I can and what He leads me to do and rest. Can’t wait to share all that God is and has done. Also can’t wait to hear from you all after this is over. Below are some scriptures I go to when I need a pick me up. There are so many but hope these help. 🙂

Until next time – Kirsten
